Jeffrey pine (2016)
This piece is part of my National Park Series.
This six-minute work is an adaptation of the third movement of Range of Light which has been rescored for Pierrot Ensemble (fl, cl, vln, vc, pno, vibes) at the request of Wild Shore New Music. Inspired by the stark photo by Ansel Adams, the music creates an aching sense of stasis, patience, and sadness.
