Since 2009, I have been working closely with the National Park Service in the USA to create a body of music inspired by the history, geography, wildlife, scenery, and people of America’s national parks. The resulting pieces range widely in style, instrumentation, and difficulty, and have been performed in such far-flung places as Alaska, Australia, Taiwan, and throughout the USA.
I've been fortunate to serve as Artist-in-Residence at (among others), Denali, Glacier, and Rocky Mountain national parks, and this ever-growing list of park-related pieces is available through Alias Press, Warwick Press, Theodore Presser, and on numerous CDs. I regularly give multimedia presentations about my works to audiences at visitors centers, community organizations, and universities.
