Ebullience (2003)
The premiere of this 5-minute piece at the ITG conference in Fort Worth was described as a "homophonic treatment for the trumpets highlighting soaring melodies supported by energetic and beautiful harmonies." Commissioned by Kappa Kappa Psi. Subsequent performances include the Ensamble de Trompetas Simon Bolivar in Caracas, Venezuela.
Note to performers (of both the trumpet and band versions): Please trust the tempo markings in the score and not Youtube videos. There’s a lot of crazy stuff out there. The markings are right. The quarter note at measures 21 and 110 is 210 and the eighth note stays constant.
